I’m Euni Cho, your new Children’s Choir Director. My family and I have been at the Calimesa SDA Church for 4 years. While we have been involved in the background for Sabbath School, Vacation Bible School and Children’s Choir, I felt God’s leading to do more for the church family that has embraced us and been the source of many blessings for my family, so I am looking forward to serving in this way.
First, let me introduce you to my family. My husband, Richard, and I are dentists by trade. Richard is in private practice and I work for the School of Dentistry. We have 3 children: Sarah (12), Gunney (9) and Joshua (6). We reside in Loma Linda and our kids attend Loma Linda Academy. We made the decision to attend Calimesa Church because our children’s friends were attending Calimesa Church. Immediately, we were blessed by the beautiful children’s programs and worship services. Ultimately, it was the warm church family that made us feel at home.
Our family enjoys travelling and our favorite destination is the Bay Area. Despite all our travels, our favorite restaurant is still Adong in good ole Loma Linda, CA. A perfect Sunday would be to watch our boys play a flag football game and then watch our daughter play a volleyball game; eat lunch at The Corner Bakery; and hang out at REI.
I am excited to be involved in the Children’s Choir. I whole-heartedly believe it is a ministry. I see kids who were formerly in Children’s Choir, now helping with Sabbath School and VBS; I see the same kids in the Easter Pageant; involved in the praise teams. Calimesa youth know the meaning of service and it starts at a very young age here. Children’s Choir is such a wonderful way to help kids feel like they are part of the worship service. Personally, I love anything to do with children and music in the church!
How can you help Children’s Choir? Please pray for our ministry. We start on October 15. In an effort to include as many kids as possible, we are trying Choir at 10:50 a.m. We will end and walk the kids into the sanctuary for Children’s Story. So please save a seat for us and keep an eye out for your kids. Oh, and don’t forget to register online!
